The owner of Dromana is Ben Davol. Ben spent 12 years in Washington D.C., working as a Press Secretary on Capitol Hill and then as a senior executive for two national trade associations, the Glass Packaging Institute and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.
He returned to Connecticut where he managed and consulted on state, congressional, senatorial and presidential campaigns. Ben’s skill at organizing grassroots campaigns is well known and best exemplified through his creation of a national public policy program for a Fortune 250 corporation. A political independent, Ben looks at public policy from a “practical” not “political” view.
Having worked in the private sector in sales for pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, Ben brings an appreciation of how public policy impacts business.
In addition to Dromana, Ben is a freelance writer with his writing appearing in The Hartford Courant, NBC political blog, The Day of New London and other publications. Ben is also a commentator on local radio and television public affairs programs.
Ben is an avid cyclist, hiker, and skier and lives in Stonington, CT.
(Why Dromana? Ben’s Mother was from Australia and enjoyed visiting family in Dromana, Victoria, Australia.)
